Why did the customer contact us?

The customer called after having a tree limb fall on their home. She indicated there were large holes made by the tree and was concerned about mold.

Solutions provided:

A United Fire & Water professional took moisture readings throughout the entire home and noted several areas where mold was present. A UF&W team performed demolition on the second floor. They removed the ceiling and wall drywall in a closet and upstairs bedroom and drywall under a window in the bedroom. Additionally, the customer had furniture, including two mattresses and a couch from the upstairs bedroom the team disposed of. The team placed air scrubbers to remove particles and mold spores from the air. They wiped all surfaces in the master bathroom, upstairs bedroom and closet, bathroom cabinetry, and attic door using an antimicrobial solution and used a HEPA vacuum throughout all affected areas where the demo was performed.
