Why did the customer contact us?
The client called stating a pipe busted and now had water damage. Water leaked between a full bathroom and the kitchen and allowed for mold growth in the wall cavity.
Solutions provided:
A team from United Fire & Water went onsite to review the areas and determined the entire kitchen would need to be gutted along with a shower and surround in the bathroom. The team set containment barriers up for demolition. Mold was noted to be several feet up the wall requiring the removal of cabinets and additional walls. The team performed mold remediation, assured all structures were dry, and then also applied an antimicrobial solution to reduce the possibility of future mold growth.
