Completion date: September 21, 2021

Location: Baton Rouge, LA

Why did the customer contact us?

The cliented called stating she had busted pipes in the walls that were being fixed but had obvious water damage.

Solutions provided:

The source of loss was from a pipe with grease buildup causing water to back up, as identified by a United Fire & Water professional. He set equipment for stabilization of the air. He took moisture readings and set up containment for demolition that was performed to remove molded materials from a previous water loss that was never repaired. The vanity and cabinet were removed in the bathroom along with drywall from a 4-foot flood cut, including the baseboards and shoe molding. In the water heater closet, a 2-foot flood cut was performed, and all lower drywall was removed. Drying equipment was placed, including air scrubbers, to remove particulates and mold spores from the air. Once all remaining structures were dry, new drywall was put in.
