The homeowner called after having a water heater line bust with water coming through the closet and having visible mold growth.
Solutions provided:
United Fire & Water sent in a team to cut the carpet out of the closet. They also performed a 2-foot flood cut and removed the ceiling along with the insulation, wiped down the boards, and the dripping mold off the walls. The team sprayed the area with an antimicrobial solution. They put up containment on the ceiling, placed a dehumidifier and air scrubber in then put containment on the door. All overhead materials dried as expected. The sill plate still has complete saturation. After a few days, everything dried as expected and the equipment was removed from the home.
