Job completed for Rosemary P.

Completion date: August 3, 2021

Location: Baton Rouge, LA

Why did the customer contact us?

The homeowner called stating they had a sink leak into the floors now they are squishy.

Solutions provided:

A United Fire & Water representative performed an initial inspection. The water ran from a busted drain pipe in the kitchen through the hall and into a small area in the living room and out the exterior door. Moisture content could also be found in the laminate flooring in the living room around the backside of the wall of the kitchen sink cabinet. There was a bit of a musky smell in the kitchen sink cabinet suggesting the need to remove the affected cabinets and to open the wall to inspect further. After minor demolition to remove affected cabinets and flooring, drying equipment was placed. When all remaining structures were dried, a surface cleaning was performed with an antimicrobial solution.
