A plumber called for help after working on a client's bathroom. The client had their sewer overflow from the toilet and came out the front door affecting three rooms in total. All laminated wood floors in a brand new home were affected. The plumber had fixed the faulty plumbing stall action. The unhappy homeowner asked United Fire & Water to perform a moisture check and verbal assessment.

Solutions provided:

A United Fire & Water professional arrived on-site, performed a moisture assessment, and provided the homeowner with a verbal estimate of the damages. The technician then proceeded with demolition on the floor, performing flood cuts, and then placed equipment to stabilize so no further deterioration occurred. They removed all affected shoe and base molding and bagged and disposed of debris and unsalvagable materials. The tech HEPA vacuumed, applied an anti-microbial agent, and wiped down all surfaces. They also removed the vanity and saved the countertop for replacement.
