Why did the customer contact us?

The homeowner called saying they had a pipe bust and had water damage on the walls in their laundry room and the outside storage room.

Solutions provided:

The water has been shut off before United Fire & Water was onsite. UF&W started mitigation in the living room and laundry room areas. We removed the affected baseboards and quarter-round in both rooms. We also removed excessive debris and cleaned the laundry room floor with an antimicrobial disinfectant. UF&W placed an air scrubber and an axial in the living room, as well as an axial and a dehumidifier in the laundry room. We moved all contents from the outside storage room into the carport. An area was removed from one wall adjacent to the laundry room. A 2’ flood cut was also performed on an exterior wall. Additional drying equipment was set up. Once all water had been extracted and moisture levels had returned to normal levels reconstruction was performed.
