Why did the customer contact us?

The homeowner called stating their hot water heater leaked into the attic.

Solutions provided:

A United Fire & Water professional arrived for an initial inspection and found the water shut off and the water heater being replaced. The ceiling on the main level had water damage from where the drain line for the water heater was leaking. It affected ceiling drywall and insulation in the office/laundry room and the header beam in the dining room. The UFW Pro set a dehumidifier and air scrubber to stabilize the moisture levels in the air. They also removed insulation from the attic that was saturated to prevent further damage. Additionally, they set up a containment area for the dehumidifier in the dining room to dry out the header beam.
