Job completed for Kristi S.- water damage, water restoration, zachary

Completion date: January 5, 2023

Location: Zachary, LA

Why did the customer contact us?

Kristi reached out to United Fire and Water after noticing a leak in the wall of her downstairs guest bathroom. She was concerned about potential mold growth inside the wall and wanted to prevent further damage. United Fire and Water sent a technician to inspect the area, where minor demolition was performed to assess the extent of the water intrusion and potential mold contamination. During the inspection, the technician discovered mold on the backside of the cabinet, confirming Kristi's concerns.

Solutions provided:

To address the water damage and mold, our team quickly set up drying equipment, including dehumidifiers and axial air movers, to begin the restoration process. We also took moisture readings throughout the affected areas to ensure that the moisture levels were consistently monitored. Over the next few days, the drying equipment worked efficiently to lower the moisture content in the structure, and by the time the process was complete, the sill plates were dry, and the moisture levels throughout the home had returned to normal.

After the drying process was finished, United Fire and Water removed all unsalvageable materials from the home, including the damaged cabinet and any other affected structures. The remaining structures were then treated with an antimicrobial solution to prevent mold growth and safeguard the home against future contamination. The job was completed with thorough attention to detail, leaving Kristi's home restored and protected from further water and mold damage.
