Job completed for Kyle B.

Completion date: January 16, 2023

Location: Baton Rouge, LA

Why did the customer contact us?

Kyle called with concerns about a slab leak.

Solutions provided:

A United Fire & Water professional went to the home to investigate the leak. After scoping throughout the home it was determined the leak was from either the washing machine or the supply line to the washing machine. They took infrared pictures to verify the leak was from that exact vicinity. The hardwood flooring next to the brick was beginning to buckle and cup in the kitchen area. After the initial dry-out in the kitchen was completed, UFW re-checked the areas around the dining room at the request of the client. There was water damage to some flooring underneath 2 areas of flooring in 2 different locations that had extended past the areas that were dried. UFW removed the water-damaged floors and exposed an area along a seam of 2 subfloors that was still wet. During the drying process, some moisture had moved along the subfloors and affected another area. UFW contained the space over the subfloors and dried it in place with 2 Axial Airmovers and 1 XL Drymax dehumidifier.
