More About Jackson
Jackson, Louisiana is a town in the East Feliciano parish. The population according to the 2020 United States Census is 3707 residents. This was a decrease from the 2010 census and the population has been on a downfall over the past two decades. The town was originally formed in 1815 as the seat of justice for Feliciano parish. Years later the parish was divided into east and west. The city was named after Andrew Jackson. He reportedly camped there with his troops on the return trip north after the 1815 battle of New Orleans.
