With a population of 8119 the city of Scott is the fourth largest city in the Lafayette Parish in Louisiana. The population increased from 2020 to 2010 but I slightly decreased from 2010 to 2022. US Route 90 passes straight through Scott and it’s 5 miles east of the center of Lafayette. The town can be found in the south central part of the state with an elevation of 36 feet above sea level.
