To address the issue, United Fire and Water performed demolition on the affected areas. The technician removed the damaged cabinet and microwave, allowing for a closer inspection of the underlying structure. During this process, a small amount of mold was discovered on the sheetrock, which was promptly removed. The affected area was then treated with an antimicrobial solution to prevent further mold growth and ensure a safe environment. Additionally, a new vent was installed in the attic to properly connect to the microwave and prevent future water buildup. To finish the restoration, drying equipment was placed in the attic to remove excess moisture and ensure that the area was thoroughly dried. After monitoring moisture levels for several days, the levels returned to normal limits. Once drying was complete, United Fire and Water installed a new cabinet and microwave, restoring the kitchen to its pre-damage condition. Ben was pleased with the thorough and effective solution provided, which not only addressed the immediate damage but also prevented future issues related to the roof leak. #waterdamage#firedamage#smokedamage

Upon arriving on-site, United Fire and Water began setting up drying equipment and performing initial assessments. The team started with the third floor, removing baseboards from the exterior walls of the hallway and setting up equipment in each of the offices. Although 80% of the third floor had been addressed by the end of the day, containment was still needed to fully close off certain areas and ensure the drying process was effective. The team successfully pulled 100% moisture readings in all areas tested on the third floor, ensuring that moisture levels were actively being reduced. However, it became clear that some wet materials on the third floor might need to be removed to fully restore the space. The team also recognized the need for additional equipment to tackle the water damage on the fourth floor, particularly more air movers to enhance the drying process. United Fire and Water planned to have the fourth floor fully addressed by the end of the following day, with continued focus on minimizing invasiveness while ensuring that all affected materials were dried properly. The proactive setup of equipment and careful monitoring of moisture levels ensured that the building was on track for complete restoration, with further action to be taken as needed to fully restore both floors to their pre-damage condition. #waterdamage#firedamage#smokedamage

After running the drying equipment for an extended period, the moisture levels throughout the affected floors were brought under control. At the completion of the job, 77 air movers, 3 air scrubbers, and 17 axial fans remained in place to ensure continued drying and air circulation. With the equipment in place and the moisture successfully removed, United Fire and Water ensured that the building was dry and safe.
